Disaster has struck. My worst fears realized. Wailing, falling about, gnashing of teeth. The smell of burned silicon wafting through the house. The poor dogs tremble in the corner at the sheer force of my temper tantrum.
Let’s start at the beginning.
Last night received a notification that the long awaited Serial ATA controller has arrived (not the original Sodial 3 port + IDE, but the 4 port Semlos). I had taken a day off because I had two Saturdays back to back that required me to work, and I needed two days for a weekend. So I had the time, the opportunity and the means, so I put the leads on the dogs and walked to the parcel motel to pick up my shiney new piece of kit.
I got home, had lunch and then powered down the NAS to perform the surgery.
